Thoughtful dental care

Make room for a better-aligned smile.

Clear aligners move teeth through a planned sequence of small changes. For suitable cases, Invisalign offers a removable approach to alignment that can fit around meals and daily brushing. A successful plan also asks something of you: consistent wear, good hygiene and regular reviews.

Let’s talk about your care

Look beyond the front teeth

A crowded or uneven smile may be what brings you in, but treatment planning considers how upper and lower teeth meet. Gum health, existing restorations and the roots and supporting bone also influence what movement is appropriate.

An assessment helps determine whether aligners fit the problem or whether another orthodontic approach or referral would be more suitable. Cosmetic appearance and a healthy bite should be discussed together rather than treated as separate goals.

Understand the daily commitment

Aligners need to be worn according to the prescribed schedule and removed for eating and drinks other than water. Cleaning your teeth before reinserting them helps avoid trapping food and sugars against enamel. Keep the trays in their case when they are out.

Some plans require small attachments on teeth or other measures to guide movement. Temporary pressure or a change in speech can occur when adapting to aligners. Tell the team about persistent pain, trays that no longer fit or difficulties following the schedule instead of improvising the next step.

Plan for progress and retention

Review visits allow the clinician to assess whether teeth are moving as expected. The original plan may need adjustment, and the total course varies with complexity and wear. A digital preview is a planning aid, not a promise of an exact biological response.

Retainers are part of the conversation from the beginning. Teeth can move after active treatment, so retention helps maintain alignment. Ask about wear instructions, cleaning, replacement and the cost of ongoing care. If you are considering whitening or veneers too, the order of treatment deserves discussion.

YOUR QUESTIONS

A little more clarity.

Is Invisalign suitable for every bite problem?

No. Some tooth movements and bite relationships are better managed with other approaches. Examination determines whether aligners are appropriate and whether specialist advice is needed.

Can I take aligners out for an event?

They are removable, but repeated or prolonged time out can interfere with progress. Discuss your needs and follow the prescribed daily wear schedule.

What happens if I lose a tray?

Contact the team for instructions. Do not skip ahead or return to an old tray without guidance, because the appropriate next step depends on your current stage.
