A Greenwich practice, a personal connection
Dr. Whitlow became Clinical Director in February 2024. Originally from Virginia, he moved to the area to raise his family close to relatives and lifelong friends. His approach builds on the practice’s 75+ years of caring for Greenwich patients.
He values the conversations that help a patient feel understood: what brought you in, what you hope to achieve, and any worries you have about treatment. A calm manner and a clear explanation can make an unfamiliar appointment feel more manageable.
Training that informs your choices
After studying biology at the University of Virginia, Dr. Whitlow earned his D.D.S. from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed advanced implant training through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
His background spans fillings, crowns, veneers, root canal treatment, dental implants, oral surgery and Invisalign. That breadth supports a discussion of different ways to address a problem, including when another specialist’s perspective may be helpful.
Life beyond the dental chair
Away from the office, Dr. Whitlow enjoys time with his wife, their two children and their dog, Moby. Gardening, birdwatching, UVA athletics and time near the water are among his interests.
You do not need a fully formed treatment plan before meeting him. Bring your questions and an idea of what you would like to feel different. The conversation can begin there.
